Food Revolution Day: May 20

Share

Our global day of celebration, Food Revolution Day, is fast approaching on 20 May. So with just one week to go until we celebrate success, raise awareness and invite more people, businesses and governments to join the ongoing revolution, here’s what you can expect.

The Food Revolution Day Facebook Live Stream

At 10am UK time (BST), Jamie Oliver will kick-start a relay of live videos on his own Facebook page with lots of cooking, advice, debate and fun. He’ll then hand over to the first of ten other countries across six continents. Each country – Australia, India, USA, Kenya, Canada, Tanzania, Germany, Netherlands, Nigeria and Brazil – will host their own event with their own famous culinary faces and celebrities throughout the day.

We’ll be broadcasting to people all over the world, demonstrating how important good food and cooking skills are in the fight against diet-related disease.

Subscribe to Jamie’s Facebook page and get ready to tune into the marathon live stream!

The International Food Revolution Omelette Challenge

This Food Revolution Day we’re starting a global conversation about a widely loved dish – the humble omelette. This ultimate fast food can be a perfectly balanced nutritious meal, depending on what you put in it. But what does your choice of fillings say about you and where you’re from?

Check out our omelette challenge here and start sharing your eggy creations on your social media platforms with the hashtag #FoodRevolution!

Global events

Our partners and ambassadors are hosting events all over the world. From Uruguay to the Netherlands and Canada to Jordan there are schools cooking our breakfast recipe, ambassadors hosting cooking classes and pop ups featuring our recipes and thousands of people celebrating the joy of food, educating others and inspiring them to come together to make positive, lasting change.

Want to get involved? Here’s how YOU can become a revolutionary.

With one week to go until the big day, sign up and join the revolution, and let’s make the world healthy.
